FCF_MelissaDavis_BioPic.jpgMelissa Davis

My years at Fullerton College shaped the academic and professional path I am fortunate to be on today. Although my main focus while attending Fullerton College from 2008-2010 was on studying English Literature, I also served as an Associated Student Senator, where I was the Vice Chair of the Planning & Research Committee, Secretary of the Election Committee, and a member of the Sustainability Committee. Additionally, I was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and the Honors Program.

In 2010, I graduated with my AA degree in Arts & Human Expression and transferred to the University of California, Los Angeles. After my two years at UCLA, I earned my BA in English, minoring in Education. During my time at both schools, I had been working at the City of Brea in the Community Services Department. Shortly after receiving my BA, I accepted a full-time position as the Facility Reservations and Contract Class Specialist for the City of Brea. Brea’s dynamic and expansive Community Services Department has allowed me to serve the public in a myriad of ways, mostly focusing on facilitating events, programming City activities, and assisting with the daily operations of the Community Center.

I recently completed Cal State Fullerton’s Leadership Development Program and am considering obtaining a Master’s in Public Administration.

I am forever grateful for the many opportunities I’ve been given, and I know that Fullerton College was a gateway for my success.
