Mrs. Ella Mae Burke was a High School Diploma Program instructor and SCE’s Basic Skills Coordinator for almost 30 years. Her wish was to make lifelong learning a reality for the students she cherished.
This is for a High School Student, that is a California resident, with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and having received a minimum of 25 High School diploma credits through the School of Continuing Education (SCE), and will have completed graduation requirements by June of the current year.
Student will write a comprehensive two-page essay, address the impact that earning a high school diploma has had on your life, the ways in which a college education will benefit your life, and how receiving this scholarship will assist them in achieving their goals.
